QUICK ANSWER
Micah Parsons is the Green Bay Packers’ new No. 1 — in every sense. Traded from Dallas for two first-round picks and three-time Pro Bowl DT Kenny Clark, he signed a record $188 million deal to become the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, then took the jersey number no Packer had worn in 99 years. You can find his official Nike Packers jersey — green or white, plus Vapor Limited editions — from $57.60.
- Traded for two 1st-round picks + DT Kenny Clark
- Record $188M / 4-yr contract — highest-paid non-QB ever
- Wears No. 1, first Packer since Curly Lambeau (1925-26)
- Official Nike Parsons jerseys from $57.60
01The trade: A franchise-altering swing
The green-and-gold No. 1 under the lights — the most-watched jersey swap in Green Bay in decades.
In late summer 2025, the Packers did something the franchise rarely does: they swung for a superstar. Dallas traded Micah Parsons — the face of their defense — to Green Bay for a 2026 first-round pick, a 2027 first-round pick, and three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark. It ended a months-long contract standoff between Parsons and owner Jerry Jones over how the deal was being negotiated.
Parsons immediately signed a four-year, $188 million extension with $136 million guaranteed, resetting the market and making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. GM Brian Gutekunst framed it plainly: when the chance to land a player this rare shows up, you take the swing. “They didn’t give up what they gave up for me to sit on the sidelines,” Parsons said at his Lambeau introduction.
02No. 1: The number nobody wore
Parsons wore No. 11 in Dallas, but in Green Bay that number belonged to receiver Jayden Reed. So he asked the room on social media — No. 0 or No. 1? He chose No. 1, becoming only the second player in franchise history to wear it, and the first since the team’s founder and stadium namesake Curly Lambeau wore it in 1925 and 1926.
That is the kind of symbolic weight the Packers reserve for legends. It also links Parsons to the franchise’s last great pass-rushing leap: Reggie White, who signed in 1993 and posted 68.5 sacks over six seasons. Parsons and White are the only players in NFL history with at least 12 sacks in each of their first four seasons — and Parsons’s 18 multi-sack games through four years trail only White (23) all-time.
03The numbers behind the hype
The production speaks for itself. Parsons has never finished a season with fewer than 12 sacks, and in his first year in green he kept that streak alive — 12.5 sacks in just 14 games before a torn ACL and meniscus in December cut his season short.

Four Pro Bowls, three All-Pro nods, and Defensive Rookie of the Year (2021) — 12+ sacks every single season.
He is now on the road back from knee surgery, with the return targeted squarely at a Week 6 reunion against his former team at Lambeau Field. When the Packers last had a 12-sack pass rusher, it was Za’Darius Smith in 2020 — that is the hole Parsons was brought in to fill.
04Who won the trade?
A year on, the scorecard is still being written — and it is genuinely split. Dallas flipped the assets into a rebuilt defense: Quinnen Williams, edge rusher Malachi Lawrence, Rashan Gary and safety Jalen Thompson, while shedding salary. Stephen Jones called the book “full and complete” after the Williams extension.
But Green Bay got the single rarest asset in football: a 27-year-old, three-time All-Pro pass rusher in his prime. The Cowboys’ run defense had ranked 29th with Parsons on the roster; the Packers’ pass rush had been their weakest unit. Now the pressure flows the other way. Most importantly for jersey buyers, Parsons is the biggest new name in a storied uniform since Reggie White — and the green-and-gold No. 1 is flying off the rack.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Micah Parsons' Packers jersey so popular?
Parsons arrived in the biggest trade of the 2025 offseason, signed the richest non-quarterback contract in NFL history ($188M), and took No. 1 — a number no Packer had worn since Curly Lambeau in the 1920s. That combination makes his green-and-gold jersey one of the most-wanted NFL shirts of 2026.
What jersey number does Micah Parsons wear for the Packers?
Parsons wears No. 1 for Green Bay. He wore No. 11 in Dallas, but that number is Jayden Reed's with the Packers, so Parsons chose No. 1 — only the second player in franchise history to wear it, and the first since 1926.
How much is a Micah Parsons Packers jersey?
The official Nike Game jersey (green or white) is $57.60. The stitched Vapor Untouchable and Alternate Vapor F.U.S.E. Limited jerseys run $79.99 for authentic-tier graphics.
What did the Packers give up for Micah Parsons?
Green Bay traded a 2026 first-round pick, a 2027 first-round pick, and three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark to Dallas to acquire Parsons, then signed him to a four-year, $188 million extension.
When is Parsons expected back from injury?
Parsons is recovering from the torn ACL and meniscus he suffered in December 2025, and his return is targeted for Green Bay's Week 6 reunion against the Cowboys at Lambeau Field.
